BlogFestivus Day 12: Bang the drum slowly

For two hours, 12 of the most gorgeous men the women from the cruise ship had ever seen held them captive as each man brought his own unique touch to his drum. Bare-chested and only wearing sarongs, it was obvious that the men really got off on their music.

It was a hot steamy night and the cruise director had instructed them not to wander off but rather find a spot on the sand where they could watch the show as a group.

With the Calypso music throbbing through the air, the women swayed with the beat and under the cover of darkness, one by one, they snuck off for their own private performance with the steel drummers.

Later, back on the ship, they opened a bottle of vodka and shared all. They agreed that banging the drum slowly was an underrated skill.

Hotel California — the steel band version.

  1. I love vodka and steel drums! Merry Christmas and grats on a satisfying conclusion to BlogFestivus! If I can borrow that vodka I’ll celebrate with a shot heard round the world.

    • I can so see you in a sarong banging your drum. ;-)

By an unanimous decision of me, myself, and I…I proclaim BlogFestivus a keeper. It will be back next year bigger and better. Thanks for being such an important part of my daily routine. I could not have done it without you and the gang.

  2. Thanks for instigating this challenge, Blogdramedy. It was great fun – and though it’s now finished, I will continue to look out for new posts from the interesting bunch of people who participated in this challenge
