Social Media: death by a thousand pokes

Seems yesterday’s post poked a few people in the right place. Many of you totally got where I was coming from and one in particular gave me a visual that I wish I had seen yesterday.

So, thanks to trailblazer1, here’s what I should have included in that post, in today’s laugh-of-the-day post. Enjoy!

  1. LOL!

I guess I should also add that the video is awesome. They stole every great thought in my head and used them to make a video. I like how it turned out.

Don’t you love it when someone else comes along and says what you’ve been trying to say only effectively with great humor?

  2. Every now and then I get a “poke” on Facebook and all I can think is “What the hell is that supposed to mean?” If someone poked me in real life I’d ask, “Yes? Do you need something?” it wouldn’t occur to me to poke them back, because I am not 8.

  3. I watched the video and I have a huge problem with all the lol-ling that goes on around me. Especially when someone types the lone three letters with nothing else. It’s like, wha-att? Is that all you could come up with? I recently did a post on Facebook and 12 reasons not to “like” it. So even though I use it, a lot of it gets me pretty riled up!

  4. I recently did a post on Facebook and what not to “like” about it. I use it, but it does get me pretty stirred up sometimes, so I should probably avoid it altogether or unfriend a lot of people whom I wouldn’t know if I met up with them in the street, only some vague past connection which is meaningless. Loved the video.

  5. I recently did a post on what not to “like” about Facebook. Most of the stuff I see there drives me semi-nuts, from people who I was conected with in some very vague way but whom I would not recognize if we collided in the street.
